Georgetown, Texas – May 31, 2017 – Mike Clark, 2016 Democratic candidate for Congressional District 31 of Texas and 22 year resident of Williamson County will be running for Congress in 2018. Despite a one-party control of Congress and the White House, Washington still cannot get anything done. The communities of Williamson and Bell county continue to face troubling challenges on transportation, health care, veterans care, affordable housing, and education. The people are tired of waiting for meaningful action from Congress and it is time for a much needed change in representation. Mike Clark will focus on solution oriented and practical ideas. Representation is about representing and meeting people’s expectations and listening to their ideas. He will continue to build on the increased November 2016 voter turnout as well as the successes with newcomers elected in the last May elections. More information and announcements will be coming out over the course of the summer. Mike has a Bachelor's and Master's degrees with a background in Geology and Geospatial technology. He is currently employed in the technology sector and previously worked at the state legislature. He is married, has two children and three grandchildren. |
